Installation Terms & Conditions
HYDROLOGIC RI LLC – TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
1. Trade Execution & Subcontracting
HydroLogic RI LLC operates as a water treatment sales, design, and project coordination contractor. All physical pipe modifications, potable water cut-ins, drain connections, and code-mandated installations are performed exclusively by independent, licensed, and insured Master Plumbers. The assigned licensed trade contractor is solely responsible for plumbing craftsmanship and local municipal code compliance.
2. Pre-Existing Conditions & Plumbing Integrity
HydroLogic RI LLC and its installation partners assume no liability for the failure, rupture, or deterioration of pre-existing plumbing fixtures, piping, or valves. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Deteriorated, seized, or passing main shut-off gate valves.
- Corroded, brittle galvanized piping or thin-wall copper tubing.
- Failing well pressure tanks, erratic well pump switches, or well yield shortages.
- Drain backups or overflows resulting from pre-existing line blockages.
3. Site Requirements & Change Orders
Standard installation pricing assumes accessible 3/4" or 1" main water lines, an operational unswitched 110V electrical outlet within 6 feet, and an approved gravity drain or standpipe within 20 feet. If site conditions require unexpected main-line rerouting, secondary drain pumps, core drilling through foundation walls, or major electrical work, such work shall be documented in an itemized written Change Order approved by Client before work proceeds.
4. Warranties: Hardware vs. Workmanship
Hardware: Equipment components (control heads, mineral tanks, brine tanks, and reverse osmosis units) carry the manufacturer’s limited warranty. HydroLogic RI LLC facilitates factory warranty claims but is not liable for manufacturer part shortages. Wearable consumables (sediment cartridges, carbon blocks, UV lamps, and reverse osmosis membranes) are excluded from hardware coverage.
Workmanship: Physical installation connections carry a one (1) year labor warranty against joint leaks, fulfilled directly by the licensed installation contractor.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Rhode Island law, the total collective liability of HydroLogic RI LLC for any claim, loss, property damage, or contractual dispute arising from or related to this agreement shall not exceed the total dollar amount paid by Client under this specific proposal. Under no circumstances shall HydroLogic RI LLC be liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of water service, property downtime, or water utility charges.
6. Payment & Cancellation
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to order equipment, reserve equipment allocation, and lock in installation scheduling. The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of system installation. Custom equipment orders canceled by Client after dispatch but prior to installation remain subject to a 20% restocking fee plus freight costs.
Quotes and Estimates
Any quote or estimate provided is based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary depending on site conditions, water test results, and selected equipment.
